-a thick subsurface layer of soil that remains frozen throughtout the year
Together we stand on the ice
Starting into each others eyes
Unaware that around the ice is melting
Slowly at first almost unheard
Faster soon cracking around us unheard
But yet we don't hear it
Not knowing that everything around us will be gone
The cracks began to grown and soon
They are under and all around us
We hear the final crack of the ice
But its to late
We fall into the ice water below
Sharing one last bitter-sweet kiss
